Paradise Cave is located in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, in Bo Trach District, Quang Binh Province. This cave is about 35 km from Phong Nha Cave on the West branch of Ho Chi Minh Road. In 2005, a local named Ho Khanh accidentally discovered Paradise Cave. Later, British Royal cave experts conducted a survey and announced that this was the longest dry cave in Asia.
In 2009, Truong Thinh Group officially exploited tourism at Paradise Cave, opening it to domestic and international tourists.
Paradise Cave in Phong Nha Quang Binh is up to 31.4 km long, 30 – 100m wide, the widest place reaches 150m, the height from the bottom to the ceiling of the cave is about 60 – 80m. The space inside the cave is extremely large, creating the feeling of an “underground palace”.
Entering Paradise Cave, visitors will be overwhelmed by the system of stalactites and stalagmites with many shapes, sparkling under the light. This is also the difference compared to Phong Nha Cave, because the stalactites in Paradise have many unique shapes, shining like glitter when the light shines on them.
From Dong Hoi city center, visitors can travel about 75km to the Northwest, following the West branch of Ho Chi Minh road to get there.
Visitors will take a 4.5km electric car ride through the primeval forest. Then visitors need to walk about 525 steps through the primeval forest before reaching the cave entrance.
Then, you will move on a wooden staircase system designed to preserve the beauty of the cave intact.
The cave entrance is just wide enough for one person to go down, located under a cliff over a hundred meters high, looking very spectacular. A 15m long slope leads down to the cave floor, the slope is very elaborately created with countless large round stalactites, on both sides of the slope there are many signs of collapse, scattered stalactite columns as if they had just gone through a tectonic period. The magical and magnificent beauty of the cave is revealed when the light shines on the countless magical stalactites. The entrance is small and narrow, but when entering the cave, it is more than 200m wide, the ceiling is high and spacious…
The space inside the cave has a soft ground, a stable temperature of about 20 – 21 degrees Celsius, creating a cool, pleasant feeling all year round.
