Quang Binh strives to reach more than 3 million visitors in 2023

At 2:00 p.m. on December 27, 2022, at the Conference Hall, Saigon Hotel, Quang Binh Tourism held a conference “Connecting tourism activities in 2022 and deploying tasks in 2023”. With the participation of representatives of state management agencies of Quang Binh Tourism and more than 100 delegates and guests representing tourism units in Quang Binh province.

The conference summarized the tourism promotion and connection activities and activities of Quang Binh tourism industry in a challenging year with many positive results such as: The total number of tourists to Quang Binh in 2022 is estimated to reach more than 2 million visitors, reaching 100.5% of the 2022 plan. Total revenue from tourists is estimated to reach more than 2,300 billion VND, reaching 102.8% of the 2022 plan. Quang Binh tourism continues to be highly appreciated by domestic and international organizations and magazines. In 2022, the Department of Tourism received, researched, consulted, appraised and proposed to the Provincial People’s Committee to allow the experimental exploitation of many new tourism products.

At the same time, at the conference, the Quang Binh tourism industry proposed a direction for implementing the 2023 task, aiming to welcome 3-3.5 million visitors, including 100,000 international visitors. Total revenue from tourists reached 3,400-3,900 billion VND.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Ho An Phong, Vice Chairman of the Quang Binh Provincial People’s Committee, highly appreciated the determination and achievements that the Quang Binh tourism industry has achieved in the past year. He emphasized that Quang Binh tourism has recovered quickly. At the same time, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee suggested that in the coming time, the Department of Tourism and businesses need to join hands to solve the seasonal problem of Quang Binh tourism; focus on attracting international visitors to increase competitiveness, elevate destinations; improve service quality; change the mindset of tourism, build a friendly and civilized tourism community.

Many opinions from businesses were also discussed at the conference. Stimulating tourism in Quang Binh during the low season, digitizing tourism activities and communicating more strongly for tourism on all platforms.
