History of Dai Giac Pagoda
Is this an issue that many Buddhists and tourists are interested in? In fact, before 2010, the pagoda was just a lake with a depth of up to 3.5m. But then, the monks here asked the provincial party committee to take the land to build a pagoda. Everyone together organized to call and mobilize monks, nuns, and Buddhists to fill the lake, make a design, and build. At that time, the project was still quite simple. The main materials were bamboo.
In 2013, typhoon Wutip made landfall, devastating Quang Binh. And because of that, the pagoda was also severely affected. Thanks to donations and support, the pagoda has been renovated to become spacious and large as it is today. The area of the pagoda is now more than 8,000 m2.
