8:00: Netin travel’s car and tour guide will pick you up at Dong Hoi city to start visiting and experiencing the DMZ Tour in Quang Tri.

The DMZ tour begins at Vinh Moc Tunnels, in Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province. It is one of the famous tourist routes in the demilitarized zone (DMZ). Vinh Moc Tunnels is considered an underground maze.

9:30: Vinh Moc Tunnels is 14km east of National Highway 1A. The tunnel is nearly 2km long, including 3 floors deep underground. And 13 entrances and exits are also ventilation doors for the tunnels. This place used to be a steel fortress of the socialist North during the years of fighting against the US to save the country. Vinh Moc Tunnels are designed like a miniature village underground. Including 94 family apartments, with fresh water wells, a hall, a canteen, a maternity home, an operating room, and a bomb shelter. Especially the Hoang Cam stove, a type of stove that cooks underground, limiting the smoke from rising.

You can admire this unique miracle. As a typical testament to the sacrifice, endurance and bravery of the people of Quang Tri.

11:00: After visiting Vinh Moc, visitors come to Hien Luong Bridge.

Visit Hien Luong Bridge, Ben Hai River. This is the boundary dividing Vietnam into 2 regions, North and South, during the 21 years of war. This is where the fierce “loudspeaker fights”, “flag fights” and “paint fights” took place during the Vietnam War.

The two banks of Hien Luong – Ben Hai are the names associated with the historical relic cluster surrounding the banks of Ben Hai River and Hien Luong Bridge – a historical witness to the scene of “The Country is divided in two”, before the persistent and tragic resistance of the entire Vietnamese people in the resistance war against the US in 1954.

You can walk on Hien Luong Bridge and imagine the historical years of our country.

On the way, visitors will see Doc Mieu Base
Doc Mieu Base in Gio Linh District, Quang Tri Province, is a basalt hill located in a terrain of 3 winding slopes and is a Quang Tri tourist destination that reminds many things about wartime. This historical relic during the resistance war against French colonialism and American imperialism, the enemy established a post and declared it an impregnable fortress. Today, Doc Mieu has become a valuable asset, an attractive relic for tourists on the DMZ tour of Quang Tri.

12:00: Lunch at Dong Ha Quang Tri city restaurant. After lunch, the group departs to visit Quang Tri ancient citadel

13:30: You continue to visit Quang Tri Ancient Citadel. It is a sacred space, a heroic and tragic memory of war history.

Located 500m east of Thach Han River, the citadel was built from the beginning of King Gia Long’s reign. In the 4th year of Minh Mang, the citadel was built with earth. In the 8th year of Minh Mang, it was built with bricks.

This is where the fierce battle of 81 days and nights of fire and smoke took place to protect the citadel, causing heavy losses to both sides. The stories that accompany the milestones are extremely touching.

Quang Tri Ancient Citadel is one of the special national relics in the land of fire Quang Tri.

15:00: The group moves along Route 9 in Southern Laos to the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail to reach the Truong Son Martyrs’ Cemetery. There are currently more than 10,333 graves of martyrs resting here.

Guests offer incense to commemorate the heroes at the Truong Son Cemetery.

After offering incense at the Truong Son Martyrs’ Cemetery, visitors will take the Ho Chi Minh Road to return to Quang Binh.

17:00: Car takes you back to Dong Hoi. End of DMZ Quang Tri 1 day tour program.
