Day 01: Dong Hoi – Thakhek – Nakhon Phanom (Thailand) (Lunch, dinner)

Pick up the group in Dong Hoi. Depart for Laos – Thailand via Chalo border gate – Highway 12, on the way experience the cat ear rocks of the majestic Truong Son range and contemplate the song “stop at the back of the pass and listen to the singing stream”. Have lunch in Thakhek – Kham Lat province. Then the group completes the exit procedures to Thailand via Friendship IV border gate. The group visits the Vietnam – Thailand Friendship Village invested in and built by the Thai government and the relic of Uncle Ho’s house in Ban Nachok – where Uncle Ho, with the alias “Thau Chin”, operated in Siam from July 1928 to November 1929. Check in to the hotel, have dinner with “Grilled chicken sticky rice” with the rich culinary culture of the Lao – Thai ethnic groups. Free time to relax and interact with overseas Vietnamese living and working in Thailand.

Day 02: Nakhon Phanom – Udonthani (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Have breakfast, check out. The group visits the construction of overseas Vietnamese commemorating the 1961 Repatriation Movement, the Maha That Provincial Assembly Pagoda of Nakhon Phanom, then departs for Udon Thani – One of the major capitals of Northern Thailand. Have lunch in Sakhon Nakhon province. In the afternoon, arrive in Udon Thani to visit and shop at Big C supermarket – a large commercial center of the city. Then check in to the hotel, have dinner and meet with Udon Thani tourism businesses. Free time to visit Udon night market. Rest.

Day 03: Udon Thani – Vientiane capital (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

Have breakfast, check out. Depart for the capital Vientiane of the friendly and hospitable Laos, on the way visit the Salakeokou Buddha Park in Nong Khai – a Buddha park with many elaborately and delicately carved statues, worship the body of Zen Master Buluea Suliat still intact after more than 20 years of passing away. Then complete exit procedures to Laos through Friendship I border gate. Have lunch in the capital Vientiane. Check in hotel and in the afternoon visit and perform Buddhist ceremony, traditional Laotian hand-tying ceremony at Mother Xi Muong Pagoda – one of the most sacred pagodas in the Laotian people’s faith today, visit That Luong – the national symbol of Lao Theravada Buddhism and the place where the relics of Buddha Sakyamuni are enshrined, Thousand-room Pagoda with architecture imbued with Laotian cultural beliefs, visit Pattuxay – built according to the French Arc de Triomphe architecture imbued with Laotian temple architecture, visit Sisaket Buddhist Museum – an ancient pagoda, where many Buddha statues and rare ancient scriptures are kept, visit and shop at Morning Market – the main commercial center of the capital. Have dinner and interact with tourism businesses of Vientiane capital. Free time.

Day 04: Vientiane – Dong Hoi (Breakfast, lunch)

Have breakfast, check out and depart for Vietnam via Highway 13 and 12. Have lunch at Thakhek. Then continue the journey to Vietnam. In the afternoon, go to Chalo border gate to complete exit procedures to Quang Binh. In the afternoon, arrive at Dong Hoi, say goodbye to the group. End of program.
