ITINERARY
8:00: Car and tour guide pick you up at hotels in Dong Hoi city, train station, airport, Dong Hoi bus station. The group departs to the North of Quang Binh to Vung Chua – Yen Island. About 75km from Dong Hoi city center. Dragon Cape, the final resting place of General Vo Nguyen Giap is Tho mountain in the Hoanh Son range jutting out to the sea. This place is considered to have the terrain of “coiling dragon and sitting tiger”. On the way, you will hear Netin Travel tour guide introduce Gianh River as well as other places. Arriving at Vung Chua Yen Island, visitors line up to offer incense to the grave of the person. Standing on the top of Tho Son looking out to the sea and sky, a peaceful and open space, you can feel part of the reason why the General chose this place to rest in peace.
9:30: The group continues the journey to Deo Ngang, about 7km from Vung Chua. Deo Ngang, the border between Ha Tinh and Quang Binh provinces, is known through the poems of many poets. This is also a national historical site where there are many traces of the Trinh-Nguyen conflict and the Cham Pa imprint.
Cong Troi – Hoanh Son Quan
Following the winding 2km pass road, the group arrived at the top of Ngang Pass to visit “Heaven’s Gate – Hoanh Son Quan” built in 1833 during the reign of King Minh Mang to control the pass. Standing on the top of Ngoan Muc to admire the beautiful sea, majestic mountains, and immense sea and sky.
10:15: After visiting Deo Ngang Pass, visitors will go down to the foot of the mountain to visit the temple of the Holy Mother Lieu Hanh. A unique architectural – artistic – religious relic imbued with Vietnamese folk beliefs.
11:00: You will arrive at Canh Duong Mural Village, a prosperous coastal village famous for its tradition of studiousness and heroic fighting in war. Explore and experience the life of fishermen, learn about occupations such as fishing, seafood processing… Visit and take souvenir photos with vivid 3D paintings.
12:30: You will rest and have lunch at the restaurant.
14:00: After lunch, the group will visit Da Nhay scenic spot, swim in the sea, and take souvenir photos. Here, visitors will admire the natural and wild beauty of Da Nhay. Those islands protrude beautifully.

16:00: Visit and take souvenir photos at Quang Phu Sand Dunes. You will feel like you are lost in the desert with white, smooth sand dunes stretching endlessly like the familiar saying “Chang chang sand dunes in the midday sun of Quang Binh”. Things to note when visiting the tomb of General Vo Nguyen Giap at Vung Chua Dao Yen:
- Time to visit the tomb of the General: from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
- Dress must be neat. Men and women must wear pants above the knee, women must wear polite clothes
- General awareness:
- Do not cause noise and disorder
- Do not defecate indiscriminately in the guarded area and surrounding areas
- Do not litter
- Do not smoke or use stimulants
- Do not have inappropriate or indecent actions
4. Items not allowed to bring when visiting the tomb of the General:
- Do not bring handbags
- Drinking water
- Other items except phones
- All items should be left in the car or in the security guard’s storage compartment
5. Do not accept wreaths or votive paper
6. Register to offer incense: When registering to offer incense, the representative of the group, delegation or any organization must register at the security desk to be able to visit the grave of General Vo Nguyen Giap
