DAY 1: DMZ QUANG TRI (Lunch/Dinner)

8:00: Car and tour guide pick you up at Dong Ha city to start visiting and experiencing the DMZ Tour in Quang Tri.

The DMZ tour begins at Vinh Moc Tunnels, in Vinh Linh district, Quang Tri province. It is one of the famous tourist routes in the demilitarized zone (DMZ). Considered an underground maze.

9:30: Vinh Moc Tunnels are 14km east of National Highway 1A. The tunnel is nearly 2km long, including 3 floors deep underground. And 13 entrances and exits are also ventilation doors for the tunnels. This place used to be a steel fortress of the socialist North during the years of fighting against the US to save the country. Vinh Moc Tunnels are designed like a miniature underground village. Including 94 family apartments, with fresh water wells, a hall, a canteen, a maternity home, an operating room, and a bomb shelter. Especially the Hoang Cam stove, which is underground and limits smoke from rising.

You can admire this unique miracle. It is a typical testament to the sacrifice, endurance and bravery of the Quang Tri people.

11:00: After visiting Vinh Moc, visitors come to Hien Luong Bridge.

Visit Hien Luong Bridge, Ben Hai River. This is the boundary dividing Vietnam into 2 regions, North and South, during the 21 years of war. This is where the fierce “loudspeaker competition”, “flag competition”, “paint competition” took place during the Vietnam War.

Hien Luong – Ben Hai is the name associated with the historical relic cluster surrounding the Ben Hai riverbank and Hien Luong bridge – a historical witness to the scene of “The country divided in two”, before the persistent and tragic resistance of the entire Vietnamese people in the resistance war against the US in 1954.

You can walk on Hien Luong bridge and imagine the historical years of our country.

On the way, visitors will see Doc Mieu base area

Doc Mieu base area in Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province, is a basalt hill located in a terrain of 3 winding slopes and is a Quang Tri tourist destination that reminds many things about the war. This historical relic during the resistance war against French colonialism and American imperialism, the enemy established a post declaring it an impregnable fortress. Today, Doc Mieu site has become a valuable asset, an attractive relic for tourists on the DMZ tour of Quang Tri.

12:00: You will have lunch at a restaurant in Dong Ha city, Quang Tri.

After lunch, the group will depart to visit Quang Tri Citadel

13:30: You will continue to visit Quang Tri Citadel. It is a sacred space, a heroic and tragic memory of war history.

Located 500m east of Thach Han River, the citadel was built from the beginning of King Gia Long’s reign. In the 4th year of Minh Mang’s reign, the citadel was built with earth. In the 8th year of Minh Mang’s reign, it was built with bricks.

This is where the fierce 81-day and night battle to protect the citadel took place, causing heavy losses to both sides. The stories that accompany the milestones are extremely touching.

Quang Tri Citadel is one of the special national relics in the land of fire, Quang Tri.

15:00: The group will travel along Highway 9, Southern Laos, to the legendary Ho Chi Minh Trail to reach the Truong Son Martyrs’ Cemetery. There are currently more than 10,333 martyrs’ graves resting here.

You will offer incense to commemorate the heroes at Truong Son cemetery.

After offering incense at Truong Son martyrs’ cemetery, visitors will return to Dong Ha city to rest.

Dinner at the restaurant then free to explore Dong Ha at night

DAY 2: VISIT WESTERN QUANG TRI

Sáng: Đoàn ăn sáng . Xe đưa đoàn đi Lao Bảo theo đường Quốc Lộ 9 anh hùng.

Ghé thăm Nghĩa trang Quốc gia Đường 9, là Nghĩa trang đẹp nhất Việt Nam, quy tụ hơn 10.000 mộ các anh hùng liệt sỹ.

Quý khách ghé thăm, chụp hình Cầu treo Đakrong, khu danh thắng Đakrong. Đến Khe Sanh, quý khách tham quan Sân bay Tà Cơn – Khe Sanh, là sân bay tác chiến lớn nhất khu vực, nơi chứng kiến thất bại thảm khốc của cứ điểm Khe Sanh.

Trưa: Đến thị trấn Lao Bảo, Quý khách ăn trưa tại nhà hàng, nghỉ ngơi tại chổ.

Chiều: Tham quan Cửa khẩu quốc tế Lao Bảo – cửa khẩu mậu biên sầm uất nhất khu vực miền Trung, cửa ngõ của tuyến hành lang Kinh tế Đông Tây. Tại đây quý khách tự do mua sắm hàng hóa miễn thuế, quà lưu niệm…

Sau đó du khách sẽ thưởng thức cà phê tại Khe Sanh nơi được mệnh danh là cà phê ngon nhất Việt Nam.
