Day 01: DONG HA STATION – HIEN LUONG BRIDGE – VINH MOC TUNNEL – QUANG TRI ANCIENT TOWN (Lunch, dinner)

Day 02: DONG HA – CUA VIET – CON CO (Breakfast, lunch, dinner)

9:00: The boat arrives at the port – an outpost between the 17th parallel guarding the East of the Fatherland, famous for its resilience during the war against America and one of the rare beautiful islands in the Central region.

The group visits the Con Co flagpole, the traditional house of the island district (Island museum).

Then have lunch with seafood, local specialties on the island and the group checks in to rest.

Afternoon: The group admires the panoramic view of the island with its “primitive forests” and the Gulf of Tonkin from the top of the Lighthouse, the watchtower of Hero Thai Van A standing guard over Con Co during the fiercest years of resistance. Then the group visits Ben Nghe, Mom Ho – the place to welcome the first rays of sunlight on the island, this is also the place to receive ships supplying food and weapons from the mainland to the island during the years of fighting against American imperialism.

Learn about the legend of the red coral, the stone crab is the symbol and mascot of the island. You will go to Xuan Huong beach to walk on the coral sand, experience the gentle waves of the homeland sea and spend time learning about life on the island.

The group continues to experience the system of bunkers, trenches, 200-year-old banyan trees, and the Military Hospital Tunnel, one of the trench systems dug through the rocks, which is considered a miracle of the strong will in fighting for the cause of national liberation.

The group continues to explore around the island through the island’s coastal roads or the trails in the jungle with the intact system of trenches and bunkers. Freely swim in the sea and experience the beautiful scenery of the island’s coral (shallow diving, no need for support equipment).

Evening: The group has a party at Con Co. Enjoy delicious seafood specialties.

After dinner, the group is free to explore Con Co Island at night.

Day 03: CON CO ISLAND – TA CON AIRPORT – LAO BAO BORDER GATE (Breakfast, lunch)

Morning: You are free to watch the sunrise at Con Co, freely walk along the beach and learn about the lives of the people and soldiers on the island.

8:00: The group departs to the mainland, then departs to visit Ta Con Airport. Ta Con Airport is the name used to refer to a strategic military base of the US army in the years 1966-1968, identified as the center, so the US built the most solid and defensive group in the southernmost region of Vietnam, including bases: Lang Vay – Huong Hoa military zone – Ta Con airport defense base cluster.

In addition, a series of military bases were built in the directions, surrounding high points such as: Commando base in Lang Vay – high points 689 – 682 – 845 – 832 – 1009 with about 6,000 troops.
