Le Thuy Quang Binh tourism has many attractive potentials. Talking about Le Thuy land, the land located in the South of Quang Binh province, 30km from Dong Hoi city center, is famous for its homeland, the leading flag in the “Dai Phong wind” movement. 1. Hac Hai lagoon

Regarding ecotourism, Hac Hai lagoon is an ideal destination in Le Thuy, Quang Binh. The lagoon is located at the end of Kien Giang river, where Le Thuy and Quang Ninh districts meet, about 25 km south of Dong Hoi city center, next to National Highway 1A.

The Hac Hai lagoon is vast and has its own channel for boats to travel. The southeast of the lagoon is surrounded by rolling sand dunes, and the northwest has the Truong Son mountain range as a citadel.

Along with Dau Mau Mountain in Le Thuy, which is covered with clouds all year round, the mountain peak is sharp like the tip of a pen, while Hac Hai lagoon is shaped like an inkstone, and the ancients have a saying “Mau Son vi but, Hac Hai vi nghien”, meaning the harmonious beauty of the inkstone and mountains and rivers here.

Being a brackish water area with high salinity, Hac Hai holds an abundant source of aquatic products from shrimp, crab and many kinds of fish: goby, bream, Australian fish, fatty and sweet climbing fish to famous fresh and delicious crabs… Although there are few restaurants serving visitors from afar, you can buy them to process at very reasonable prices.

2. General Vo Nguyen Giap Memorial House

General Vo Nguyen Giap, the legendary General of an era that international friends called him – the general of the people, of the Vietnamese nation.

Born and raised in An Xa village, Loc Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province, 45km south of Dong Hoi city center. A simple house with bamboo walls, following the architecture of the traditional house of Le Thuy district people, 3 rooms: the middle room worships the ancestors’ portraits, the remaining 2 rooms are used for living, the roof is covered with palm leaves, the floor is made of clay, very typical of Le Thuy district people

Talking about Le Thuy district, in addition to the familiar tourist destinations, Bau Sen is also a familiar name to the people of this area. This is a large freshwater lake surrounded by endless white sand dunes in Sen Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province.

Coming to Bau Sen without enjoying the famous specialty of fish porridge here is a real shortcoming, with the cool taste of the stream, the clear water source, so the fish here is very delicious, sweet, rich, cooked with Le Thuy rice, a little onion, when eating you put it in a bowl, drink the water, in the summer when eating it helps you cool down, and in the winter it is very warm in the stomach because the flavor of onion can help you cure a cold very well. In addition, the boiled chicken here with the taste of the homeland is also very delicious, the chicken is naturally raised so it is very fresh and delicious.

4. Bang Hot Spring

To have moments of rest and relaxation after the journey to Le Thuy hometown, you should stop at Bang hot mineral spring in Kim Thuy commune, about 60 km from Dong Hoi city. This is the only mineral water source in Vietnam with a boiling point at the geyser reaching 105 degrees Celsius.

Not only is it a stream that can cure some skin and blood pressure diseases, Bang stream is also one of the tourist attractions of Quang Binh thanks to its beautiful and charming natural scenery. Currently, Suoi Bang is being processed by Truong Thinh Group to put into tourism activities. It is expected that Suoi Bang will be operational again in 2020.

5. Khe nuoc lanh

Khe Nuoc Lanh flows through Ngan Thuy commune (Le Thuy district) and Truong Xuan commune (Quang Ninh district), with wild beauty in the middle of the forest, fresh air, clear water flowing through the rocks, creating an unforgettable impression for anyone who visits.

8. Hoang Phuc Pagoda is the oldest pagoda in Central Vietnam today.

Hoang Phuc Pagoda was formerly known as Kinh Thien Pagoda, commonly known as Tram Pagoda or Quan Pagoda, located in Thuan Trach Ward (now My Thuy Commune), Le Thuy District, Quang Binh Province. We have not yet found any historical source to confirm which dynasty the pagoda was built in, during the Tran Dynasty or the Le Dynasty, but it was certainly built before 1553, when Duong Van An compiled the book “O Chau Can Luc”.

With the wish to make this place a place for spiritual and cultural activities, preserving the historical traditions of the homeland, and at the same time promoting compassion and goodness in the community activities of the people in general and Buddhists in particular, Le Thuy district has a policy of socialization, mobilizing resources to restore and embellish Hoang Phuc pagoda. Because it can be said that this is the pagoda considered the oldest pagoda in Central Vietnam, dating back to more than 715 years ago.

The restoration and embellishment of the historical relic of Hoang Phuc Pagoda is of great significance to Le Thuy district. After the inauguration of Hoang Phuc Pagoda, it will be a sacred place to worship Buddha, propagate Buddhism, a destination for Buddhists from near and far in spiritual and cultural activities, preserving the traditional cultural identity of the homeland.

9. Intangible culture: Le Thuy folk songs

Located in the South of Quang Binh Province, embracing the beloved Kien Giang River, affectionately with the quintessence of the fields and villages, Le Thuy has given birth to a brainchild on the poetic, clear river for generations. Le Thuy Ho Khoan is a spiritual melody with a strong vitality, strangely captivating people’s hearts.

The “a sacred land with extraordinary people” land gives Le Thuy folk chants both depth and breadth, diversity in melody, and richness in language. Le Thuy folk chants spread from green lands to deep rivers, from plains to the ocean. On the mountains, there is the resounding, soaring powerful and emotional “lia trau” folk song. Under the sea, there is the resilience, perseverance but steadfastness of the “ho khoi” melody; the excitement and excitement of the “ho nau xam” melody. The low-lying plains have the liveliness, deep affection of the six folk songs with the flexible and liberal transformation of the singer. Le Thuy folk songs were born in a labor production environment, but in each historical period, the performance environment has changed to suit the economic – social development situation.

Le Thuy folk songs have been refined by the people, going through many ups and downs and changes, but the nine folk songs still maintain the strict rules and regulations that have not changed. The nine Le Thuy folk songs include Lia trau; Mai jasmine (long) songs; Mai ruoi; Mai che; Mai nen; Mai ba; Mai xap; Mai ho khoi and Mai ho Nau xam.

On the evening of August 31, in Kien Giang town, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province, Le Thuy folk chants officially received the Certificate of National Intangible Cultural Heritage from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. This is an activity to honor the humanistic values of the traditional art form, contributing to preserving the precious culture of the nation in the spiritual life of the community during the period of national integration and development.

10. Boat racing festival on Kien Giang river

The swimming and boat racing festival on Kien Giang River is a typical cultural feature and a long-standing sport of the people in the river area of Le Thuy district.

73 years ago, on September 2, 1946, the first anniversary of the National Day of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, the people of Le Thuy organized a boat racing festival to celebrate the Independence Day and maintain the festival on this day every year.

Every year, the Festival attracts tens of thousands of people, including locals, tourists, and children of Le Thuy from all over the country.

The festival has both male and female boats (male boats are called swimming, female boats are racing). The race track is from 15km (female) to 24km (male) on Kien Giang River. This river is beautiful and narrow, so the audience can observe clearly and cheer enthusiastically, creating the attraction of the Festival.

11. Experience Duong Cam Waterfall at Dong Chau Khe Nuoc Trong Nature Reserve

Recently, the experience of crossing the Duong Cam waterfall at the Dong Chau Khe Nuoc Trong Nature Reserve has been put into tourism exploitation in the southwest of Le Thuy district. This is a new and attractive tourism product of Quang Binh that is loved by many tourists. The first waterfall crossing experience of Quang Binh along with the biodiversity at the Dong Chau Khe Nuoc Trong Nature Reserve makes this tourism product attract more tourists.
