Hon Chen Temple is a relic complex consisting of about 10 large and small architectural works. The works are located halfway up the slope of Ngoc Tran mountain, facing the Huong River. The main architectural work of Hon Chen Temple is Minh Kinh Dai, located in the middle, on the right are Quan Cu house, Trinh Cat Vien, and Thanh Pagoda. On the left of Hon Chen Temple is Ngu Hanh palace, the altar of mandarins, the cave worshiping Ong Ho, and Ngoai Canh hermitage. Outside on the riverbank is Thuy Phu hermitage. Thuan An Beach
Thuan An Beach is 15km east of Hue City. Thuan An Beach is a place that attracts many Hue people to cool off and swim in the summer. The busiest time here usually lasts from April to September when the weather is hottest.

Lake Tinh Tam
Tinh Tam Lake is one of the famous landscapes of the ancient Hue Citadel. In the past, the lake was a section of the Kim Long River that was renovated. In the third year of Minh Mang (1822), the Nguyen Dynasty mobilized 8,000 soldiers to participate in the renovation of the lake, turning it into a Royal Garden. After completion, the lake was renamed Tinh Tam.
Tinh Tam Lake has a rectangular plan, with a perimeter of nearly 1500m (354 truong 6 thuoc). On the lake there are three islands, Bong Lai, Phuong Truong and Doanh Chau. Bong Lai Island, in the south of the lake, has Bong Doanh Palace in the middle, 3 rooms, 2 wings, double-roofed roof, covered with Hoang Luu Li tiles. The palace faces south, surrounded by brick railings, in front is Bong Doanh Gate, then Bong Doanh Bridge connecting the island with the southern shore of the lake. To the east of Bong Doanh Palace is Thanh Tam Water Pavilion, facing east. To the west of the palace is Trung Luyen Tower, facing west. To the north is Hong Cu Gate and a bridge of the same name.
Canh Duong Beach
Canh Duong Beach is one of the beautiful beaches in Thua Thien Hue. Canh Duong is a tourist attraction when traveling to Hue. Canh Duong Beach is about 60 km south of Hue city. Canh Duong Beach is 8 km long, 200 m wide, arc-shaped, located between the foot of May Tay and the foot of May Dong, the coast has a gentle slope, fine white sand, clear blue water and is relatively sheltered from the wind, very convenient for organizing all kinds of tourism and sports.

Hai Van Pass

The top of Hai Van Pass is at an altitude of 496m above sea level, 77.3km south of Hue and 28.7km north of Da Nang.

Bach Ma Mountain
Bach Ma Mountain is 60km south of Hue, at an altitude of 1,450m, and is a famous resort in Vietnam. Bach Ma Mountain is famous for its streams and many spectacular waterfalls. Do Quyen Waterfall is 400m high and 20m wide. Tuy Van Mountain
Tuy Van Mountain is located in the northeast of Phu Loc district, the old name is My Am Son, in 1825 King Minh Mang changed the name to Tuy Hoa Son, in 1841 King Thieu Tri changed it back to Tuy Van Son and erected a stele to record the historical site. On the top of the mountain is an ancient temple. Around the mountain area, you can find some Champa relics and traces of a famous Champa tower on Linh Thai Mountain, a mountain located to the east of Tuy Van Mountain.
An Cuu River
An Cuu is the name of a small river, a tributary of the Perfume River, in the South of Hue Citadel. The river has many names such as Loi Nong, Phu Cam, Dai Giang, Ha Tu, Cong Quan, the common name in Hue is An Cuu River. The entire river is about 30km long, starting to take water from the Perfume River from the end of Da Vien islet, flowing through Hue City, Huong Thuy District and then pouring into Ha Trung Lagoon. Since the Nguyen Lords chose Kim Long, then Phu Xuan as the capital of Dang Trong, both sides of the An Cuu River have been the place where the mansions and garden houses of mandarins and nobles were concentrated.
However, at this time the river was still small, with many shallow and narrow sections. In the 13th year of Gia Long (1814), after surveying the situation and consulting the elders in Thanh Thuy commune, the king ordered the dredging of the An Cuu River and the construction of the Than Phu dam below to get water for irrigation and to wash away the salt for tens of thousands of hectares of rice fields in this area. In the 2nd year of Minh Mang (1821), the An Cuu River was renamed Loi Nong River. The stone stele engraved with this name still exists. In the 16th year of Minh Mang (1835), when casting the Nine Urns, the image and name of the river were engraved on the Chuong Urn.
Kim Phung Mountain
Kim Phung Mountain in Hai Cat village, Huong Tho commune, Huong Tra district, also known as Thuong or Thien Duu mountain, is popularly known as Don island or Dun island. On the mountain there is a clear well. In the 17th year of Minh Mang (1836), a bronze cauldron was cast and the image of the mountain was carved into the cauldron. According to the book Tay Son Thuc Luc, Kim Phung mountain is the burial place of the Queen of the Pham family of Emperor Quang Trung (1791).
During the resistance war against the US, this was one of the places where the City Party Committee was stationed and was the outpost of the Ministry during the Tet Offensive and Uprising (1968).

Tu Hien area has Linh Thai and Thuy Van mountains and on the other side are Loc Binh and Chan May, majestic mountains. Thanh Duyen Pagoda on Thuy Van Mountain has been recognized as a National Cultural Heritage. In the past, the pagoda was called My Am Son Tu. During the reign of Lord Nguyen Phuc Tan (1644), the foundation of Dai Hung Palace was laid and the pagoda was named Thanh Duyen.
Nowadays, people call it Thuy Van Mountain, Thanh Duyen Pagoda… Thuy Van Mountain has a peak 60m above the lagoon water level, is a primeval forest with dense ancient trees, cool climate. Truc Lam Bach Ma Zen Monastery
Truc Lam Bach Ma is the first Zen monastery in the Central region. Truc Lam Zen Monastery is located on Bach Ma Mountain, Truoi Lake area, Loc Hoa Commune, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien Hue Province. At an altitude of 1450m, 5km from the East Sea as the crow flies, the temperature is usually from 19-21oC, Bach Ma is considered one of the ideal climate zones. Truc Lam Bach Ma Zen Monastery appears in the heart of Truoi Lake like a flower, resting on the Bach Ma mountain forest stretching as far as the eye can see.

From Hue city, going south about 30 km, to Truoi land, entering Truoi Dam, going up the gentle slope on the hillside, a vivid ink painting appears. Built in harmony with the Buddhist architecture and Truc Lam Yen Tu Zen Monastery, Truc Lam Bach Ma also has a main hall worshiping Buddha meditating under the Bodhi tree, behind the main hall is the ancestral hall worshiping the founder Bodhidharma of the Truc Lam Zen sect.

Kazan Waterfall

Tomb of Hieu Dong
Hieu Dong Tomb relic is the burial place of Queen Ta Thien Nhan Ho Thi Hoa, wife of King Minh Mang. The tomb is located in the mountain part of Cu Chanh village, now in Thuy Bang commune, Huong Thuy district, in the area of Thieu Tri tomb.
The mausoleum has a similar format to the Nguyen Lords’ mausoleum with two brick walls surrounding the tomb inside. The outer wall is 3.6m high in the front, 3.2m high in the back, 85m in circumference, with an arched door in the front, and a bronze door. The inner wall is 2.5m high, nearly 60m in circumference, with a brick screen in front of the door. The tomb is built in the style of a stone house with a roof.
Gia Long Tomb
The Gia Long mausoleum complex is said to have the most beautiful feng shui location among the Nguyen Dynasty’s royal mausoleums. Historical records say that geomancer Le Duy Thanh (son of scholar Le Quy Don) was the one who found this land, which, according to him, “concentrated all the good influences emanating from the surrounding mountains and hills”.

Khai Dinh Tomb
Khai Dinh Tomb is located on the slope of Chau Chu Mountain in Thuy Bang Commune, Huong Thuy Town, and is the resting place of King Khai Dinh (1885-1925). The tomb began construction in 1920 and was completed 11 years later with the architecture as it is today.

Minh Mang Tomb
Minh Mang Tomb, also known as Hieu Lang, is located on Cam Khe Mountain, near Bang Lang junction, where the Huu Trach and Ta Trach rivers converge to form the Huong River, 12 km from the center of Hue city. Minh Mang Tomb was built from 1840 to 1843.

Lang Thieu Tri
King Thieu Tri’s tomb is located in Cu Chanh village, Thuy Bang commune, Huong Thuy town, and is the burial place of Emperor Thieu Tri (1807-1847), the third king of the Nguyen Dynasty. This is the only Nguyen Dynasty king’s tomb facing northwest.

Tu Duc Tomb
Tu Duc Tomb has a large campus with flowing streams, rustling pine trees, and chirping birds. Tu Duc King’s tomb is located in the highest area, surrounded by ancient pine forests and frangipani trees.

Thien Mu pagoda
Thien Mu Pagoda, also known as Linh Mu Pagoda, was built by Lord Nguyen Hoang in 1601. Thien Mu Pagoda is located on the north bank of the Perfume River. The pagoda is 5km northwest of Hue city center.
In 1665, Lord Nguyen Phuc Tan restored the pagoda. In 1710, Lord Nguyen Phuc Chu cast the Great Bell (2.5m high, 1.4m in diameter, weighing 2,052kg). In 1715, the Lord built another stone stele 2.6m high, 1.25m wide, placed on the back of a marble turtle 2.2m long, 1.6m wide.
